Privacy Policy

Summary

EarnCat is a Mac app by STUDIO HWI. We don't run a server for EarnCat and we don't collect, store or receive your personal data. There are no analytics, ads or tracking in the app.

What EarnCat stores on your Mac

To work, the app keeps the following on your Mac only. None of it is sent to us.

• Google sign-in tokens, in the macOS Keychain.
• Connected account details — email address, ad account ID and name, currency and reporting time zone — in the app's own container.
• Your most recent revenue figures, as a cache so the menu bar shows a value right away.
• Your settings, such as refresh interval and notification choices.

Google user data

When you connect a Google account, EarnCat asks for these permissions: openid and email (to identify the account), and read-only access to AdSense (adsense.readonly) and AdMob (admob.readonly).

EarnCat uses this data only to show your estimated revenue in the app. The data travels from Google to your Mac and is never transferred to us or to any third party, never sold, never used for advertising, and never read by people.

EarnCat's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Purchases

EarnCat Pro is sold through the Mac App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details.

Notifications

Revenue notifications are created on your Mac. Nothing is sent through a server.

Keeping and deleting your data

• Removing an account in EarnCat's settings deletes its details from your Mac. Once no other connected account uses the same Google sign-in, EarnCat also revokes that sign-in's Google access and deletes its tokens from the Keychain.
• To remove everything before deleting the app, remove your accounts in Settings first. Moving the app to the Trash leaves its data folder (~/Library/Containers/dev.hwiveloper.earncat) on your Mac; you can delete that folder too.
• You can also revoke EarnCat's access at any time from your Google Account.

Children

EarnCat is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
